Rikki got an Uber Pool on his way home from dinner. Then a chance encounter changed his life
When 26-year-old Rikki jumped in an Uber in September 2015, he had no idea the ride would change his life. The plumber was planning to head straight home after a hearty dinner out in Bondi, but was still up for some conversation. So he booked an Uber Pool - where passengers heading in a similar direction can share a ride with others to ameliorate the fare cost. Originally from England, he was delighted when two “fun and super friendly” men from his home country hopped into the Uber. “We had some really good banter going on, as you do after a night out,” Rikki tells 7Life.
