'Maybe things I said' - Frank Lampard attempts to take credit for Chelsea's consolation at Arsenal
Chelsea caretaker manager Frank Lampard has tried to claim that his side's second-half performance in their loss at Arsenal was the result of his half-time team talk. The Blues were beaten 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, though the Gunners were far superior from start to finish and probably should have won by a larger margin. The visitors went into the break three goals down having given Arsenal the freedom of north London to essentially do what they want in the first half. Lampard responded by withdrawing ex-Gunners striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and replacing him with Kai Havertz to give them more of a focal point. Chelsea managed to pull one back through Noni Madueke, who ghosted in behind Oleksandr Zinchenko and finished over the haphazard Aaron Ramsdale, but the Game was always in Arsenal's control.
