Miss Ashley's Ears? Resident Evil 4 Remake Mod Makes Them Even Bigger

There have been some significant changes to the president’s daughter in the Resident Evil 4 remake. She can finally use ladders on her own, preventing Leon from looking up her skirt as he waits patiently to catch her in his big, burly arms. She’s also got a deluxe costume that confirms she was definitely a scene kid growing up. But the biggest change is to her hair, which now falls long enough to completely obscure her ears.

The voices calling out to see up Ashley's skirt largely drowned out criticism from Ashley fans being unable to see her ears, but apparently, there were enough such fans that someone thought it'd be a good idea to create a mod that brings her ears back from beneath her bangs. Thus, the "Canon Ashley" mod from Mal0 was born.

While the name suggests a return to OG RE4 canon, the truth is it just gives her ears that are so comically large we might as well call this the Dumbo Ashley mod. Never mind climbing up and down ladders--Ashley could just fly away on those things and leave Leon to fend for himself against hordes of Plagas-infected villagers.

To download the mod, head on over to Nexus Mods and grab the compressed file, then unpack it in your Resident Evil 4 remake's install folder. Be sure to back up your data otherwise you'll be stuck with big-eared Ashley forever, or at least until you reinstall the Game.

And while we're looking at dumb RE4 remake mods, be sure to check out the Baby Rose Strikes Back mod, which brings back a fan-favorite mod from Resident Evil Village with new Resident Evil 4 twist. There's also the nude Leon mod for showing everyone's favorite himbo hero in an entirely new light, and don’t forget the Shrek mod to send RE4’s opening combat scene into ogre time.

In more relevant Resident Evil 4 news, dataminers have located references to Separate Ways in RE4 remake's files. This could imply that we'll get more than just the Mercenaries DLC from the original Resident Evil 4.
