Jose Ramirez has recorded multiple hits in four of the last five Games, and he leads the Guardians in hits (69), with 10 home runs and 38 RBI. San Diego moved to 32-34 after defeating Cleveland. The Padres capitalized on a hot start last night, and they’ll look for their fifth win in six Games here Wednesday. The San Diego offense is scoring 4.31 runs per Game, while batting .228, with a .317 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.76 ERA, with a 1.23 WHIP. Fernando Tatis has recorded a hit in nine of the last ten Games, and after going deep in the win over Cleveland, he leads the team in home runs (13) and RBI (33). Gary Sanchez’ hot start in San Diego continued last night with his sixth homer in 13 Games with the Pads. Juan Soto is second on the team with 58 hits, 10 homers and 32 RBI. 

Michael Wacha (6-2, 3.18 ERA, 64 Ks) will start for San Diego. The tenth-year pitcher bounced back with a scoreless outing against Seattle last week, striking out seven in six innings out of work. Wacha has been on a tear since the start of May, posting a 4-1 record, with six quality starts, and four shutout outings.
