Ansu Fati to undergo medical ahead of sudden Barcelona loan exit

Ansu Fati is set to undergo a medical with Brighton & Hove Albion as he closes in on a loan move away from Barcelona, 90min understands. Having struggled to showcase his best form since returning from the devastating injury problems that cost him almost two years of his career, Fati was made available for transfer earlier this summer but rebuffed all approaches in the hope of re-establishing himself at Barcelona. However, the emergence of 16-year-old Lamine Yamal has contributed to Fati's decision to seek a move away from Catalonia and sources have confirmed to 90min that he has agreed to join Brighton for the remainder of the season. Several Premier League sides voiced an interest in Fati, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur among the sides to ask for updates on the 20-year-old, but it is Brighton who have won the race for his signature. Fati is now heading to England to undergo a medical ahead of putting pen to paper on a season-long loan which does not include a perm

Chelsea in talks with Roma over Romelu Lukaku loan

Chelsea are in talks with Serie A side Roma over the potential loan departure of striker Romelu Lukaku, 90min understands. The Blues knocked back loan enquiries earlier this summer in the hope of finding a permanent buyer for Lukaku, but the Belgian rejected the chance to move to Saudi Arabia and saw Inter end their interest after learning of Lukaku's negotiations with Juventus. While Juventus are prepared to sign Lukaku outright, the only offers presented thus far have been as part of a swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic in which Chelsea would also have to pay an additional fee - a proposal which was swiftly knocked back. Having once again rejected a move to Saudi Arabia in recent days, permanent buyers for Lukaku are proving hard to come by and now 90min understands Chelsea are once again open to letting the 30-year-old leave on loan. Immediate interest has been registered from Roma, who are looking for a replacement for the injured Tammy Abraham. Jose Mourinho's side had

2023 NFL NFC South Predictions, Odds & Best Bets | Pickswise

In the first 12 years of the NFC South’s existence (2002-13), not a single team ever repeated as champion. After that, the Carolina Panthers won 3 division titles in a row, the New Orleans Saints won 4 straight and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now the 2-time defending champions (the Atlanta Falcons also snuck 1 in there in 2016). With Tom Brady having retired, there does not appear to be a 3-peat in the cards for Tampa Bay. Will it be Atlanta, Carolina, or New Orleans who takes advantage? With the 2023 NFL campaign on the horizon, it’s time to break down the NFC South. How Chelsea's spending under Todd Boehly compares to the rest of the Premier League

Image
It's hard to read about the Premier League without being reminded Chelsea have spent loads of money since Todd Boehly acquired the club. The west Londoners have been ridiculously prolific in the transfer market ever since Boehly arrived, both in terms of buying new players and selling unwanted squad members. Deals like the £115m splashed out on Moises Caicedo - which made the former Brighton midfielder the Premier League's all-time record transfer - are now part and parcel of how things work at Stamford Bridge ever since the consortium led by Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed their £4.25bn takeover in May 2022. We all know that Chelsea have spent a lot, but where does their spend ing under Boehly compare to the rest of the Premier League since May 2022? How much have Chelsea spent under Todd Boehly? Quartararo compares MotoGP champion Bagnaia to F1 dominator Verstappen

Image
Bagnaia stormed to a dominant victory in Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix by over five seconds, completing his third sprint/GP double of the season after also winning Saturday’s half-distance contest at the Red Bull Ring. Qualifying on pole and setting the fastest lap in both contests this weekend as well as leading every single racing lap, it was a perfect round for the Ducati rider. Now strengthening his championship lead to 62 points at the halfway stage of the season, Bagnaia is looking increasingly harder to beat in his quest for a second world title. Quartararo, who was eighth on Sunday as his Yamaha struggles in 2023 continue, has likened Bagnaia to current F1 dominator Verstappen – who has won all but two grands prix so far this season, including the last eight on the bounce. “I think he’s a little bit [like] Verstappen now because I think also like in the previous years he had the best bike,” Quartararo said when asked if anyone could beat Bagna
